KNT Healthcare Limited support children and young peoplewho require respite care to provide temporary relief for parents or guardians who are caring for a child with special needs, a chronic illness, or complex health conditions.
We believe that each child is unique and should be at the centre of their care. Our person-centred approach ensures that each child's needs, preferences, and aspirations are respected.
We focus on the strengths and abilities of each child, rather than their deficits. This approach promotes self-esteem, and independence, helping children to overcome challenges and achieve their potential.
We work closely with educational institutions to ensure that children have access to education and learning opportunities. Furthermore, we will provide additional support for their homework.
We provide care in the child’s home, offer support by accompanying the child to activities, appointments, and providing overnight care to allow parents or guardians to rest. KNT Healthcare Limited offers assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding. For children with disabilities, this may also include help with mobility aids or other assistive devices. We offer healthcare support, such as administering medication, assisting with physiotherapy exercises, or providing care for specific conditions such as autism, cerebral palsy, or Down’s syndrome.
For children who are home-schooled and require educational support KNT Healthcare Limited can assist with learning activities, homework, or special educational needs. We facilitate social interaction, helping children to develop social skills, build friendships, and engage in play and recreational activities. Our staff offer behavioural and therapeutic support by helping to manage challenging behaviours, promote emotional wellbeing as well as speech and language therapy, occupational therapy, or play therapy. In cases of emergency or unexpected situations, KNT Healthcare Limited domiciliary care providers can provide short-term respite care at short notice.

We manage planned, urgent, and respite admissions through a comprehensive process that ensures each child's needs are thoroughly understood and catered for. For planned admissions, we work closely with the child, their family, and any involved professionals to ensure a smooth transition into our care. For urgent and respite admissions, we have a rapid response team that can quickly assess and admit children into our care.
Upon admission, each child undergoes an initial assessment to identify their care and support needs. This assessment is conducted by a multidisciplinary team of professionals, including social workers, psychologists, and healthcare professionals. The assessment covers various aspects, including physical health, emotional well-being, social skills, and educational needs.
Based on the initial assessment, a personalised care and support plan is developed for each child. This plan outlines the specific care and support services the child will receive, the goals to be achieved, and the strategies to be used. The plan is developed in consultation with the child and their representative to ensure it reflects their needs, preferences, and aspirations.
We are committed to providing a high standard of care and support to children under our care.
